2008 thus far.

So here's my first real life update for all you fun people.

-I started graduate courses: Microeconomics (how fun) and Institutions, Governance, and International Development (a course that for some strange reason has us email our papers out to EVERYONE----100 emails every time. Fun.)
-I got a real life people email address that you should ALL have.
-I'm still babysitting Gabriel on Fridays
-I do a lot of yoga but am no longer teaching
-I got a job!
a) It's an unpaid internship (of which I am currently in a battle with Financial Aid/Work Study to fund) (And I also played the Daddy card)
b) I am the Development and Marketing Intern for
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) (Doctors without Borders)
c) So far, I absolutely love it. I am learning crazy amounts, the war in Chad/the three expats killed last week were a wonderful way to kickstart my experience, and they have a kitchen with free Peet's coffee! What more could I ask for?
-Sleep is still optional, but I am trying to act my age and get a good amount. I try to be in bed by midnight.
-My course load is ridiculous!!! So much reading, so many papers, and 3 research projects...it's going to be a fun one, that's for sure.
-In approximately one week, this little twenty year old will be the full twenty one year old that she has pretended to be for the last 3 years. No, I am not ashamed of my Florida license. :) But I will be able to burn it so that will be pretty exciting. Uncle Ben, Aunty Katie, and Nora will be joining me in this fair city to celebrate.
-it should be noted that I will be working/going to school, although I did take Friday off.
-it should also be noted that I don't regard this as a momentous occasion. Now my best excuse of "id issues" will be null and void and I'll actually have to say "I'm tired." I'm too old for this.
-No I am not dating anyone. Nor do I have that in my plan.
-AKA I am not planning to get married in the near future.
-AND I do not need any help/suggestions/good vibes. KTHX.

Ok. I just realized the library has emptied out, and I have successfully completed all of the homework that I plan on attempting. It's a snow storm, so partially I'm dreading leaving my comfy warm seat in this lovely library, but all good things must come to an end.

Back to Brooklyn I go. Feel free to comment with questions, curiosities, and general statements.
